As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving department. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with various internal/external departments to guarantee timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Pick and issue parts from inventory for assembly, shop, or sales orders based on Bill of Material (BOM) or Pick List and ship using FedEx.
- Ensure all spinal implant surgical sets are complete and approved by Quality before shipping based on Bill of Material (BOM) and Quality Standard Operating Procedures.
- Receive incoming surgical sets, verify contents against Bill of Material (BOM) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Inspect shipments for damage and discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Verify received surgical set contents and enter back into inventory based on Bill of Material (BOM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Assess whether returned surgical sets should be returned to inventory or prepared for packing and shipping.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping requirements.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain in-house records of all instrument kits by system, contents and packing lists performed by checklist or ERP computer data entry.
- Manage ERP transactions, including outbound orders and returned material transactions.
- Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping and order fulfillment.
- Complete inventory cycle counts.
- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Hand dexterity for working with spinal implants and instrumentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ months experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment preferred but not necessary.
