Inventory Specialist (Pmf)

Overview

GEODIS is one of the world’s largest leading Supply Chain Operators.

The position is part of the onsite logistics of GEODIS at the customer's warehouse and the main responsibility is assuring Inventory accuracy for PMF Stock (0700, 0600, 0500). This job assures accuracy by way of cycle count which has a direct impact on the material stock quantities to be ordered and on hand to complete maintenance and preservation of offshore oil platforms. Errors found in a cycle count means there is an error in proceeding stock calculations and will be reconciled (with the root cause and corrective action to follow) The goal of this job is supporting the storage of goods in the correct quantity enabling the delivery to the customers at the right quantity, time, and place within the agreed budget.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for creating, tracking and performing yearly cycle counts timely and accurately.

• Ensuring inventory counts are completed then move systematically to Geodis inventory clearing team for further processing and clearing.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable inventory/warehousing procedures.
• Item not found, list missing items in quarantine location while researching/ looking for item.
• Attempt to determine Root cause and corrective action for discrepancies.
• Suggesting corrective actions to avoid inventory errors.
• Create SAP inventory adjustment after approval of management.

· Has full authority to make inventory adjustments up to $ 1000?

• Maintain accounting / inventory audit compliance per contractual agreement.

· Use accurate tools and methods for counting and recording.

· Uses appropriate judgment in peer communication to assure limited disruption to daily task of other operations.

· Ensure the adherence of company health and safety while doing cycle counting in the warehouse.

· Support the achievement of the company objectives and goals.

· Perform special project (outage) as from time to time, including proactive communication and reporting.

Education, Certifications

• Has basic theoretical knowledge of warehousing Operations.
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management systems & processes MS Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel,
• Educated to GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.06 - $22.95 per hour
