Job description

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and optimizing supplier management. This is a crucial role in our organization as it directly impacts our ability to meet customer demand and maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct data mining and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective Inventory Control strategies
- Utilize data visualization tools to present inventory-related information in a clear and concise manner
- Monitor and optimize logistics processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Inventory Control processes
- Collaborate with production planning teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through contract negotiations with suppliers
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to inventory performance and make recommendations for improvement

Skills:
- Strong data mining and analysis skills to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement
- Proficiency in order fulfillment processes and supplier management
- Experience with data visualization tools to present inventory-related information effectively
- Knowledge of logistics principles and best practices
- Ability to drive process improvement initiatives within the Inventory Control function
- Strong contract negotiation skills to optimize supplier relationships
- Excellent data collection and interpretation abilities
- Familiarity with distribution center operations is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
