Inventory Specialist | HAMMOND, IN
Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Starting Pay: $16/hour DOE
Shift(s): Days
Requirements & Skills:
·Must have a current and valid Driver’s License which is required for performing job functions.
·Must have reliable transportation.
·Proof of valid Driver’s License is required at any given time
·High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit/stand for long periods of time
Primary Duties Include:
·Adhere to and follow Post Warehouse Corporation operating and safety procedures.
·Perform proper visual inspections of drums, totes, pails.
·Maintain & control inventory on all material, including flush material – control disposal notification to customers
·Update inventory in data base directly after physical counts / movements (Inventory must stay current and correct)
·Report monthly inventory reports to customers; or as requested
·Always conduct good housekeeping practices facility wide.
·Promote good customer relations.
·Conduct continuous cycle counts
·Perform inbound inspections of material
·Have some knowledge of OSHA, Department of Transportation regulations.
·Knowledgeable of all customers’ product and locations.
·Able to conduct physical inventories of customer product.
·Ability to use forklift & forklift grabbers to properly store customers filled drum material into inventory.
·Maintain inventory levels & locations / maintain quarantine area (QC hold)
·Knowledgeable of proper blocking and bracing of customer’s material.
·Perform all purchasing obligations.
·Control inventory levels for internal raw materials
·Other job duties given by direct Management
