Position Summary

Manages the daily activities of the Shipping & Receiving and Inventory departments. Provides leadership, direction, and motivation to the team. Successfully and effectively works to accomplish operational goals and ensure optimum performance across both departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs associates in the performance of the day-to-day operations.
  • Delegates responsibilities between departments to achieve optimal operating results and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors warehouse performance towards corporate goals. Analyzes results and initiates appropriate action to achieve goals.
  • Directs staff meetings, as needed, to communicate of strategy and resolution of issues.
  • Manages significant cross-functional projects to ensure goals and timelines are met.
  • Manages the receiving, inspection, processing and routing of all materials into the facility, off-site facilities (remote sites), and enter the receipts in the Materials Management software system.
  • Prepares shipments, including documentation, for outbound shipments.
    Manages the Returned Goods process according to the Returned Goods SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Manage and train personnel to receive and stock product per documented procedures.
  • Manage the inventory reporting, cycle counting, and reconciliation process.
  • Maintain quality of receipt and stocking transactions
  • Investigate zero shipments, receiving errors, and adjustments to inventory to determine root cause.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with assigned staff to communicate company policy, process changes, workloads, safety topics.
  • Maintain acceptable production and quality levels to ensure the performance metrics of the business are met.
  • Manage and train shipping, personnel corporate objectives in quality and productivity.
  • Manages shipping orders and assigns shipping duties as required to meet customer commitments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective outbound shipping processes.
  • Makes sure shipping logs are updated- PK & VOI
  • Run and clean excel reports to generate pack slips for each month.
  • Work min-max lists for pack slips to be generated for customers.
  • Keep track of tool movement in and out of the building (customer and company's tools).
  • Close work orders
  • Receive PO's
  • List dates for open windows.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience in warehouse management including direct management of staff is required
  • Strong analytical, reporting and surveillance skills
  • Ability to proactively demonstrate sound judgment and safety management practices
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure
  • Flexible, dependable, able to follow directions and possess a positive attitude
  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service internally and externally
  • Work effectively as a team member in a time sensitive environment.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics procedures

The salary information is a general guideline only. A wide range of factors are considered when extending an offer, such as job-related knowledge and skills, qualifications, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

$70,000—$100,000 USD
