What you will be doing:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive IC Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily deliveries to job sites, asset transfers, inventory management, and assisting in various tasks within the IC Receiving and IC Shipping departments. This role primarily operates in a warehouse and delivery environment, involving frequent driving and physical activity. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the IC Supervisor and Job Center per the Teams Delivery & Pick Up Procedure to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure deliveries do not overlap and that all requested deliveries have necessary information provided prior to approval.
  • Provide quantity and part numbers of JOB inventory, FAV inventory, and specifications of fixed assets being delivered.
  • Obtain necessary information such as Ford personnel signing for delivered material, delivery location address, specific instructions for navigation, window of delivery time, cell phone number of point of contact, specifications of required PPE, and access requirements.
  • Execute delivery transfers of fixed assets using the Barcode Scan Fixed Asset Procedure, adhering to the Archive Document Policy.
  • Conduct delivery transfers within divisions according to prescribed procedures, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance schedules and cleaning.
  • Light building maintenance and cleaning.
  • Assist job center personnel with pulling job material from hold cage to assembly, engineering, and job in box, verifying physical material quantities and updating records accordingly.
  • Perform quarterly inventory counts using Barcode Scan Physical Inv & Post to Update Procedure, and report discrepancies as per company protocols.
  • Test received material according to Receiving Inspection Procedure, reporting any damages or defects to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and purposeful bone pile area, disposing of unused and outdated items with proper approval.
  • Complete end-of-day tasks including cleaning work areas, organizing pallets, emptying trash, and securing the warehouse.
  • Conduct end-of-week tasks to ensure all areas are swept, clean, neat, and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT certification.
  • More than 2 years of experience with truck driving/transporting
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills – data entry, typing, 10-key
  • Ability to lift/carry 40 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Proven experience in a delivery driver role or similar position.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience in inventory management, shipping and/or receiving
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks
  • Detail oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities

Physical Requirements: The combination of physical and mental requirements is necessary for completing the responsibilities, essential functions, and meeting the demands of the role. The employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and work in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. They may also be required to work in dusty or unclean environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety is paramount, necessitating effective communication with colleagues and constant alertness to surroundings. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks that involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner to meet deadlines and effectively communicate to successfully perform all required responsibilities.
