Inventory Control Coordinator

Amentum is seeking a Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team for GE Renewables in Amarillo, TX.

The Inventory Control Coordinator will perform a variety of duties such as: Inventorying and tracking equipment, verifying information, moving equipment, escorting vendors and data entry.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinates the storage and movement of materials within or between departments of warehouse or establishment.
• Controls inventory and confirms that physical inventory matches system inventory by performing full and cycle inventory counts.
• Tracks inventory, maintains accurate stock levels, and investigates inventory discrepancies.
• Runs inventory analyses to solve inventory issues and reconciles item balances.
• Receives and resolves incoming requests involving transaction discrepancies reported by operations, customer service, or purchasing.
• Reviews customer orders and remedies out of stock delays and mis-shipments.
• Complies reports on inventory levels, cost, and production problems.
• May prepare pick tickets and shipping documents for the warehouse.
• Perform data entry.
• Maintain professional and courteous customer relations including, client, vendor, and internal team.
• Maintain safety work practices as define by Amentum and the client.
• Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
• Perform all work in compliance with environmental rules and regulations.
• Perform scheduled and nonscheduled inventory of existing stock as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in material handling, inventory, maintenance or data entry.
• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
• Must be able to move heavy objects, such as motors, etc. (may be more than 50 lbs.).
• Requires the use of a utility knife.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feet; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
• Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
• Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
• Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
• Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
• Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
• Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Special Requirements:

• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
• Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Other Attributes:

• Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
