Job Description
Ascent Classical Academies is seeking an Inventory and Finance Specialist for its growing campus at Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Denver in Brighton. The qualified candidate has extensive organizational experience and possesses the skills needed to fulfill an array of responsibilities. This position reports to the Assistant Headmaster while working with the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer.

The Inventory and Finance Specialist (IFS) is responsible for executing and continually improving the following functions and duties:
- Supervise all inventory management processes
- Perform a variety of technical duties in the acquisition, processing, distribution, and maintenance of textbooks, classroom library books, instructional and support supplies, equipment (all hereto after referred to as “Materials”) at an assigned school site including, but not limited to:
- Receiving delivered Materials in collaboration with the Purchasing Specialist and in accordance with financial procedures
- Reviewing and verifying incoming shipments for accuracy and quality of delivery
- Logging receipt in the accounting system for non-consumable materials
- Distributing ordered Materials in a timely manner
- Updating and managing computerized inventory system
- Checking resource Materials out to students, staff and/or parents using the assigned computerized inventory system where appropriate and ensuring checked out Materials are returned
- Repairing or purging damaged/obsolete Materials as needed
- Stocking and organizing supply and inventory receiving rooms at the assigned school site
- The IFS may also perform a variety of technical financial duties in accordance with financial procedures as the counterpart to the Purchasing Specialist at an assigned school site including, but not limited to:
- Entering purchase requests into accounting system
- Placing orders for approved purchase requests with appropriate vendors
- Entering and processing payments for bills in accounting system
- Entering receivable information in accounting system and support accounts receivable collection process
- Processing items to return
- Responding to inquiries and providing information and assistance concerning related practices, techniques, policies and procedures surrounding ordering and receiving
- Training, supervising, and managing Inventory Finance Assistants or volunteers and ensuring their activities are in accordance with financial procedures
Compensation Range and Particulars: $18-$24 per hour, 30 hours per week
Schedule and Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

- Associate's degree or some college preferred
- Experience or interest in organizational clarity and productivity tools like Getting Things Done and Entrepreneurship Operating System (EOS)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Post-offer, satisfactory background check as required by state law and Colorado Department of Education
