Job Mission
In ASML, E-Beam firmware team is responsible for designing and implementing high performance and low latency control & data processing system. Our mission is continuous improving system performance and making faster and high-quality system with advanced technology. We are seeking a software talent interested and experienced in new technology research with outstanding knowledge on InfiniBand/RDMA and machine learning. In our team, you will collaborate closely with Senior FPGA engineer in the team, diving deep into the advanced technology from lower layer to upper layer, design and deliver our future data processing system.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Job Description
You will tap into your technical acumen as you collaborate with team members to design data processing system with advanced technology.

• Work closely with our Sr. FPGA engineer to design our future data transmission and processing system.
• Involved in the bench designing and building up, high level software coding and low-level protocol researching, test tool design and implement.
• Research, seek a solution to integrate the outcome to real system.

Education and Experience

• Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant related field of engineering
• Strong skills in C/C++, python, Makefile, shell script programming
• Experienced on InfiniBand/RoCEv2 communication design
• Experienced on ethernet communication development, good knowledge on UDP protocols.
• Good knowledge on Linux system operation and Linux Kernel.
• Good Knowledge and experience on Xilinx / Altera FPGA development, Verilog / VHDL coding is a plus.
• Experienced on ethernet communication package analysis tool is a plus.
• Experienced on GPU related work development is a plus.
• Skill on reading hardware schematic & PCB layout is a plus.
• Good Knowledge and experience on machine learning and is a plus.

• This position is located on-site in San Jose, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $17.00 - $53.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
