The International IT & Global Planning team is responsible for implementing modernized solutions that are aligned with Costco’s global technology strategy and supporting Costco’s expansion globally. Costco is continuing to grow internationally, and we are seeking a motivated Systems Analyst to support global supply chain visibility and operations. The International IT Systems Analyst will be responsible for understanding the product requirements, defining functional and non-functional requirements, configuring & maintaining, and supporting the International Depot (WMS) Custom application.

This role requires proficiency in requirements analysis, solution design, and process improvement coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively across various Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Distribution functions. The role encompasses creating the functional design, configuration activities, developing extensions, creating reports, and providing operational support.

The International IT Systems Analyst is responsible for participating in scrum ceremonies and providing required deliverables and status. In addition to delivering new technology and enhancing/supporting existing systems, an effective Systems Analyst contributes relevant technical, functional, and process expertise, negotiates and drives alignment, and coaches/mentors team members as required.

ROLE

Performs systems and data analysis on applications/products to understand functional design requirements, and performance accuracy and efficiency.

Works with application teams to develop manual / automated test plans to validate the functionality implemented throughout the development lifecycle.

Develops requirement traceability matrices to confirm the delivery of functional and non-functional requirements within a given product/application.

Identifies and communicates improvement opportunities (functional and non functional) to improve product quality and performance based on the input provided by technology team members (e.g., Systems Administrators, Product Owners, Full Stack Developers).

Defines detailed technical requirement documentation aligned to the blueprints and technical designs prepared by System Architects.

Translates highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements that can be understood by product owners and other business stakeholders.

Prepares release notes outlining the functional and technical changes introduced by application teams within a given release. .

Translates and adapts best business processes into scalable solutions for International Depot.

Technical knowledge to design, document and implement solutions for WMS to meet requirements/specifications for efficient business operation.

Creates solution designs, functional specifications, identify interface and testing requirements for systems development.

Participates in user story creation and backlog grooming in an agile delivery methodology.

Demonstrates working knowledge of systems development lifecycle and IT operations.

Provide estimates for bug fixes, enhancements, or new feature requests.

Partners with Architects, Product owners to validate and walkthrough the functional/technical designs.

Approaches challenges with curiosity and creativity, embracing the possibility of failure as an opportunity to learn something new, develop innovative ideas, solve complex problems and identify unique opportunities.

Coordinate with multiple IT teams for a smooth integration between supply chain systems and other systems in the organization.

Performs application configuration, development of custom extensions in support of solution development.

Utilizes BI tools to write ad hoc and operational reports.

Communication and collaboration with tech and business stakeholders to ensure smooth operation.

Up to date on state-of-the-art methods, practices, and technologies.

Supports and participates in testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, performing test execution, and validating test results.

Takes ownership to maintain and promote high standards, looks for new ways to learn and improve, and embraces a growth mindset to seek and apply feedback from others in an effort to continuously improve.

Creates system support documentation (Knowledge Base articles, functional description, troubleshooting, etc.).

Coordinates issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams and provides issue status/resolution statuses with key stakeholders.

Collaboratively and objectively evaluates tradeoffs, and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders.

Identifies and effectively assesses improvement opportunities to International Depot.

Travel may be required, up to 25% as dictated by business needs.

Some off-hours work required, including weekends and holidays, and rotational on-call support.

REQUIRED

3+ years’ relevant experience in Supply Chain systems preferably in a cloud based environment.

4+ years’ functional design and technical design experience in Information Technology within warehousing, distribution or supply chain operations

Experience implementing and expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS).

Understanding of SOAP, REST APIs, and MicroServices development.

Leverages user-centric design concepts in conjunction with agile prototyping, development, and testing to deploy technology solutions to the end-user.

Understanding of eliciting business requirements to design and deploy highly reliable, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

Expertise in both inbound, outbound and financial settlement of logistics solutions.

Experience around debugging issues and finding root causes.

Able to support the system and manage incident and problem management.

Have experience working with medium to large enterprises.

Recommended

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Business/Supply Chain or 5+ years’ relevant experience.

Strong WMS, Retail & Transportation industry domain knowledge.

Ability to work well in a globally distributed team (international experience)

Experience with Web services and external facing applications.

Experience with SAP ERP systems

Experience operationalizing applications for performance, scalability, and active discoverability of errors and degradation

Pay Range: $115,000 - $145,000
