Internal Communications Manager, Reality Labs Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication initiatives for the Chief Technology Officer and Reality Labs organization.
- Partner directly with the Chief Technology Officer and leadership team on their internal communication priorities and change management initiatives.
- Provide proactive and reactive messaging that supports initiatives/launches and program rollouts.
- Understand the unique needs of product, engineering, and business teams (goals, products, tools, process) in order to produce effective and relevant communication strategies.
- Write and develop messaging around various topics, including organizational and company strategy, priorities, product launches and announcements.
- Identify opportunities to share organization milestones with the company.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement consistent messaging across the organization.
- Partner closely with other internal and external communications teams as well as HR, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, and Business Leads to align on communication opportunities.
- Manage internal forums (Workplace Groups) and internal org events (All Hands
- Q&As) which include creating narrative themes, developing executive messaging, and consulting on other speakers’ content.
- Implement data measurement and analysis strategies to guide communications best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of professional experience working in Internal Communications, corporate communications, political campaigns, or nonprofit mission-driven communications. Minimum 3 years of dedicated Internal Communications experience.
- Experience counseling and influencing C-suite executives.
- Experience producing content for internal audiences at varying levels across an organization.
- Experience writing and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content.
- Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience communicating to an employee population of technologists and engineers.
- Experience in solving problems using judgment, data measurement, and analysis, providing practical, timely and effective communications guidance and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in public relations, journalism, branding and campaigns.
- Experience in the technology industry.
- Experience leading Internal Communications for a globally distributed and hybrid workforce (remote and in-person).
- Experience in solving problems using judgment, data measurement, and analysis to provide practical, timely and effective communications guidance and support.
