Overview
Varian, a Siemens Healthineers Company, is looking for a strategic-minded Communications Manager - Content Writer passionate about dynamic storytelling to join our team. You will bring our product portfolio's value proposition to life and enhance our corporate narrative through long and short-form content geared toward technical and non-technical audiences.
The Communications Manager - Content Writer is part of the corporate communications team within Varian's Global Brand, Marketing, Communications, and Insights organization. Our team is responsible for the iconic branding and positioning of the company and embedding this essence in across all internal and external touchpoints.
Responsibilities
  • Content strategy and development: Develop a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals; build a cohesive narrative and craft high-quality content that builds awareness, understanding, and reputation through strategic brand and product positioning, industry thought leadership and storytelling.
  • Channel distribution: Distill key messages and optimize for relevant internal/external distribution channels such as press releases, intranet articles, newsletters, blog posts, and social media. Maintain editorial calendars for transparency and alignment across teams.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with key internal stakeholders and product subject matter experts to better understand the business priorities, product portfolios, and needs to effectively deliver accurate, credible, and impactful written pieces. Ensure alignment across brand, marketing, and communications stakeholders, while proactively contributing content and identifying new opportunities that level up our communications program.
  • Editing: Provide editing and proofreading support to ensure written materials are free of errors, key messaging is clear and consistent, and adhere to brand guidelines

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Content Writer in an agency or corporate environment
  • Experience in medical technology or healthcare is preferred
  • Excellent communicator with exceptional writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to translate technical information into content that is easily understood
  • Experience leveraging SEO in the development of content
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills; executing with speed, accuracy, and efficiency with strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing communications at a fast-paced, dynamic company

The base pay range for this position is
Min $105,500 - Max $189,800
The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
