The STERIS Intern role will Support STERIS IPS and STERIS IPT Capital, and STERIS Endoscopy teams through subject matter expert consulting alongside a Principal Consultant. This role will provide support through strategic and operational consulting assessments and process improvement projects while improving Customer and/or internal operations, developing and supporting the transition of Customers to offsite or centralized external options, and developing brand loyalty to STERIS while maintaining a neutral presence. This Internship may travel extensively to Customer locations nationwide.
This role will focus on Customer process improvement. It develops Customer process improvement plan and provide executive leadership and guidance to IPS and Customer process improvement teams. It mentors leadership on management best practices, lean methodologies, operational and clinical best practices, and change management to achieve measurable operational improvement. The role ensures that process improvement outcomes are favorable for the Customer. The intern will work with the Principal Consultant to develop and mentor resources that participate in process improvement. These projects are very focused in the peri-operative environment.
- Bachelor's degree, currently pursuing Master's degree
- Working experience with all Microsoft programs, knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software. Ability to learn Oracle or other systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Operating Room processes and protocols, and medical/surgical instruments strongly preferred
