Duties and Responsibilities: Kina'ole Family of Companies is seeking a Business Intelligence/Business Development Intern. This position will generate qualified leads for the sales team and set up needs analysis meetings by reaching out to potential clients through a variety of communication channels. The Business Intelligence/Business Development Intern should be able to quickly qualify a prospect, align with our solutions and communicate in a compelling manner that drives prospect leads to convert into a meeting/demo.


Responsibilities:

New business opportunity prospect engagement via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc. Sourcing and reporting on new sales opportunities through federal government opportunity forecasts, contract vehicle portals (e.g. GSA eBuy, sam.gov) and agency-level industry announcements, inbound lead follow-up and outbound contact. Become familiar with our business offerings/solutions and remain up-to-date on industry news.

Utilize reporting system, aggregated data and HGS business development customer relationship management (CRM) tools to aid in tracking and managing prospect base. Maintain and expand our database of prospects within the assigned business segment. Adhere to all quality standards and processes. Provide regular feedback to the business development team as well as management about market and competitor activity. Performs other Business Intelligence/Business Development related duties as assigned.


Required qualifications:

Ability to analyze market data, financial information, and industry trends to make data-driven decisions and recommendations. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task effectively. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be eligible for a US Government security clearance.


Preferred qualifications:

Pursing a degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Passion for innovation and entrepreneurship. Experience with customer relations and engagement.


Other Job Details:

We offer flexible work schedules. Remote/telework may be possible due to the independent nature of projects. Ability to travel as required during summer/break time periods. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs. This is a summer internship, June 1, 2024 - September 1, 2024.
