Job Title: Intake Coordinator/Receptionist
Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking an Intake Coordinator/Receptionist to join our team. The Intake Coordinator/Receptionist will be responsible for managing the front desk, greeting patients, and answering phones. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and updating patient information. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Update patient information and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed
- Enter new patient information in EMR
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
