Job Description
- Communicates promptly and appropriately with the clinicians, doctors, discharge planners, patients, family/caregivers.
- Creates and modifies authorizations and/or orders for new and existing Members in an accurate and timely matter.
- Researches, troubleshoots, resolves authorization and/or order processing issues and discrepancies
- Is responsible for notifying physician offices and Clinical Staff as to any needed paperwork, and for notifying or investigating any problems or denials with appropriate patients
- Receive, process, and follow-up on all admitting and discharge paperwork as well as consent forms
- Assigns and schedules clinical and therapy evaluations and visits
- Assist DON to track field clinicians schedules, patient re-hospitalizations and discharges from services by directly communicating with field clinicians.
- Performs other duties as assigned consistent with skills and training for this position in alignment with the goals and mission of the Agency.
- Protects the confidentiality of member information and adheres to company policies regarding confidentiality
- Experience with electronic medical record systems
