Salary Range: $72,137 - $86,564
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Administers and manages activities within a specific area of responsibility, i.e., Professional Learning. Serves as the subject matter expert in Instructional Design and applies gained knowledge to execute, maintain and improve systems, programs, or processes.
Manages a variety of online instructional design projects for the district from the initial conception to online learning launch and ongoing support and enhancements as needed for employee training development courses. Works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to provide coordination and development of online training and learning initiatives. Utilizes content experts throughout the organization as support staff and facilitators.
- Collaborates with subject experts to develop, design and edit online course content with an equity lens for all learning styles.
- Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to further employee development and customize training as needed, working with managers across departments to design and develop training materials, including online modules; provides support and guidance in the creation of course content.
- Identifies process gaps and troubleshoots opportunities to create efficiency structures, processes and procedures to enhance the overall customer and employee experience.
- Work cross-functionally within and throughout the organization to develop partnerships/identify opportunities for collaboration to proactively increase organizational effectiveness and execution of training opportunities for employees; builds and establishes credible and authentic relationships with District employees.
- Supports and serves as a department content expert, trainer and facilitator utilizing adult learning best practices; coaches and develops all team members; serves as a thought-partner and creative-partner with members of the team.
- Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content based on data.
- Creates historical record of impact on achievement, using both data and anecdotal evidence.
- Corrects errors within modules, as needed.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years experience of professional, demonstrated track record of instructional design, delivering training, professional development, and facilitation of meetings and training.
- Experience with design platforms, such as Articulate
- Familiarity with course management systems, such as Schoology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.
- The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance.
- Works collaboratively with others on a team.
- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with Learning Management Systems software strongly desired.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
