DISH Wireless is actively seeking a Senior Training Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Instructional Designer within our high-energy retail wireless training and development department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our field sales teams. Your primary responsibilities will include content management, the development of online and instructor-led curricula for various training programs, and the creation of real-time communications and updates. Working closely with team members, you will contribute to measuring the effectiveness of training initiatives and collaborate on evaluating and exploring new opportunities to ensure our program remains best in class. Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes and builds relationships with requesters inside the team and across the business; responsive and adaptable to feedback and change
- Conducts needs analysis with partners, managers, and executive leadership to determine project needs, key deliverables, and timelines
- Designs and develops top-quality, coherent, and concise online training courses, instructor-led training materials, lesson plans, and user documentation that supports the training strategy to improve overall user and business capabilities
- Applies instructional design principles and models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create well-structured, learner-centered content, including video components
- Interfaces with project managers, business analysts, developers, subject matter experts, and users during all phases of system analysis, testing, training, and deployment. Manages training projects from needs assessment to evaluation
- Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
- Work independently and proactively; you know when to get others involved, and how to work with peers inside and outside Creative and Production teams
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, education, or similar, and/or 4-5 years equivalent work experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff; competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills
- Experience as a team lead for projects or programs; strengths include leading by example, decisiveness, motivating others, and being highly adaptable to change
- Practical experience and skill with developer applications (e.g. Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, and mobile learning applications)
- Flexible, innovative, and able to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment
- Ability to travel if required (10% -15%)
- Video production and editing experience a plus
The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
