Matheson is looking for experienced Instructional Designer.
Under the direction of the People Development Manager, theInstructional Designer is responsible for creating learning experiences foremployees at all levels across the company. Through the development ofe-Learning, blended learning and other digital learning tools, theInstructional Designer employs technology, creativity, adult learningtechniques, empirical data, and social engagement to create content thatsupports professional development, technical training, and compliance withinthe organization.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and end users to identify learning needs/objectives and provide recommendations for engaging, relevant, and effective content
- Develop eLearning courses/curriculum that are based on sound instructional design principles and methodologies to support employee development
- Produce high quality and consistent instructional content in a variety of modalities
- Utilize instructional design software to create a variety of materials. Plan and devise the layout of text, photos, illustrations, and other media for presentation
- Assist in Learning Management System (LMS) administration including loading, testing, assigning, tracking, and maintaining courses and curriculums
- Keep abreast of trends in learning technologies, approaches, best practices, technologies
- Other duties, as assigned
Compensation: Competitive
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in eLearning Development
Proficiency in multiple authoring tools (Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) to develop eLearning courses
Familiarity with LMS, CMS, and E-Learning standards (AICC, SCORM, xAPI, etc.)
Experience delivering educational content through learning management systems
Basic understanding of graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Proven project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and effective relationship management
