Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sales Agronomist serving the Wisconsin area. This position will provide agronomic information and training to Dairyland Seed’s DSM’s, dealers and customers.They will also work collaboratively with product managers, sales leadership and marketing leaders to align product offering, placement and education with commercial objectives
What You’ll Do:
- Provide agronomic support and advice to growers and prospects
- Conduct product training for assigned DSM’s and dealers
- Develop, maintain and collect data from on farm product testing program, in assigned districts
- Assist Product Managers in development of corn and soybean product characterization in assigned geography and other promotional materials as warranted
- Develop and stay within budget for SA areas of responsibility
- Participation in annual DS product lifecycle and product gap meetings
- Participate as directed by Agronomy Leader in commercial meetings including employee, dealer, and customer meetings
- Keep assigned districts and their dealers up to date on current time sensitive agronomic information
- Remain current on new technology by participating in professional meetings and career development activities
- Implement and monitor safe working practices following Dairyland Seed / Corteva standards
- Complete investigative follow up on PQA’s
- Contribute to weekly Dairyland Seed Agronomy Newsletter
- Contribute to Dairyland Seed’s Product and Agronomy research program
- Will work with Regional Manager on district and regional supply forecasts
Qualifications
What You’ll Need:
- B.S. degree required; M.S. degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. CCA a plus.
Competencies and Experience:
- Agronomic theory – knowledge of farming best practices, seed technologies, crop protection.
- Desired knowledge of Midwest agriculture in both grain corn, silage, soybean and alfalfa markets
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment required
- Must possess ability to analyze agronomy activities for both research and commercial activities
- Ability to work with others in a team setting and of diverse backgrounds
- Requires the ability to walk large areas to inspect fields
- Willingness for overnight travel as job dictates
- Ability to pass a driving record background check
- VISA sponsorship and International relocation are NOT available for this position
Computer knowledge:Word, Excel, Power Point and Power BI are required.
