Job Summary

The DHS Office of Inspector General (OIG), Business Integration and Analytics Division seeks a talented Instructional Design Coordinator to design, develop and deliver engaging and impactful learning content and curriculum for diverse audiences of OIG product users, bringing OIG's vision to life. The Office of Inspector General strives to deliver leading edge background study, licensing, and program integrity services to promote the health, safety, and well-being of children and adults. In support of this mission, the incumbent will:
  • Research, plan, design, and develop inclusive multimodal learning content and experiences for a diverse and multicultural audience of internal and external users of the Provider Licensing and Reporting Hub, Agency Licensing and Reporting Hub, and Program Integrity Hub, using an equity lens to accommodate differences in culture, language, ability, technology access, and other factors to create supportive and representative learning environments for users with various needs and backgrounds;
  • Deliver learning content and facilitate highly engaging, interactive, and impactful learning experiences using inclusive and innovative techniques that ensure comprehension, engagement, and success for diverse and multicultural audiences; and,
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations on Instructional Design content and continuously iterate content and curriculum to enhance outcomes for diverse audiences.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
3 years professional experience designing, developing, and implementing learning plans.
Experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Develop training plans, lessons, and activities using adult learning principles.
  • Employ delivery techniques such as live demonstrations, discussions, break out groups, individual and group problem solving, storytelling, and/or practice exercises with regular knowledge checks for understanding to confirm learning objectives are met.
  • Design andadminister post-learning surveys, interviews, and other feedback mechanisms to evaluate success of Instructional Design content and progress toward learning objectives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce software platform knowledge sufficient to create in-depth learning resources and content to instruct users with a range of technological abilities.
  • Experience with Instructional Design multimedia tools such as Miro, Canva, Figma, InVision, Camtasia, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of the OIG programs and divisions, DHS and OIG's mission, values, and activities.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • Knowledge of product management and agile development principles and practices.
  • Working and communicating effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Knowledge of best practices for engaging learners virtually, including synchronous and asynchronous methods.
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
