Job Overview:
The Product Consultant involves playing a pivotal role in driving sales and cultivating relationships with customers in the interior design and home decor industry. Primary responsibilities include serving as the internal point of contact for customers, managing sales opportunities, and ensuring effective communication between the company and its clients. The Product Consultant is tasked with maintaining a strong sales pipeline, resolving customer issues, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as customers’ internal point of contact for sales, working closely with the customer to gain insights into business opportunities.
· Create and maintain opportunities in Salesforce.
· Regularly contact customers, primarily via phone & email
· Ensure designers have information, education, and collateral to maximize their Jaipur Living sales.
· Develop new business through referrals, networking, and warm lead calling.
· Build and manage sales pipeline; close deals and sell Jaipur Living products
· Maintain contacts, customer information and sales activities in Salesforce.com
· Travel 10-15% - Attend trade shows to connect with new and existing customers and prospects two times per year for a minimum of 8-10 days.
· Resolve customer issues and manage/escalate concerns as appropriate
· Work collaboratively with Field Sales representatives
· Meet assigned activity targets and sales goals
· 250 dialed and logged calls per week, achieve the assigned sales and custom goals monthly.
· Marketing at least 50 outgoing dialed calls daily to learn if customer is in business, how often they purchase rugs, type of business clearly defines for profile and records. Pass any changes on to customer service such as out of business or address changes.
· Share with the customer what this department will be doing and share contact information with them. Learn if they have any projects currently and if they need samples and answer their questions.
· Move to actively pursuing sales from customers by phone or email to gain an order.
```Qualifications:```
· BA/BS degree or equivalent (Preferred)
· Strong interest in Interior Design and Home Decor
· Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM (Preferred)
· Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to communicate issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers.
· Flexibility is essential – should be a TEAM player who is willing to assist with other responsibilities when needed
· Entrepreneurial minded person – ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a small team of dedicated people
· Detail oriented, and very organized - even with constant distractions and multiple priorities
· Ability to stay engaged 6 to 8 hours per day on phone with customers and prospects.
