Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical data packages and product requirements, translating them into facility and equipment requirements.
• Assist in the planning and design of manufacturing and assembly facilities.
• Apply lean principles to an existing product design and manufacturing processes by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
• Recommend layout and capital equipment expenditures for a production facility.
• Maintain a direct interface with customers to ensure project success.
• Work cooperatively within an integrated team to deliver exceptional results.
• Execute productions systems simulation, including material flow, and facility layout.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience required, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Possess strong knowledge of manufacturing systems planning and implementation.
• Experience using ProPlanner and FlexSim software package for manufacturing simulations is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Local and overnight travel to company or customer facilities is required.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
