Job Summary:
Sierra House, Inc. is seeking dedicated Individual Behavior Technicians to join our team and provide essential support to children with mental or developmental challenges in their homes. As an Individual Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), conducting direct observation, and collecting data to monitor progress. Your responsibilities will include providing structured skill-building activities, assisting with daily living tasks, and offering emotional support to children in need. Collaboration with our treatment team and maintaining detailed documentation of interventions will be key aspects of this role. Responsibilities:
- Provide structured skill-building activities tailored to the child's needs and goals.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to the child during interventions and activities.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques when necessary to ensure safety.
- Assist with daily living skills, including grooming, feeding, and toileting as necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of interventions, progress, and incidents, and communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
- Conduct assessments, including the completion of the CABs (Comprehensive Assessment of Behavior for School-Aged Children), and related evaluations such as task analysis and preference assessments.
- Develop Individual Support Plans with objectives that are observable, measurable, attainable and time limited.
- Analyze data, make modifications to the Individual Support Plan as necessary, and prepare progress notes.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in developing and implementing positive behavior support and instrumental skill plans for individuals with mental/developmental disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
- Strong written communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer usage and ability to develop and complete progress notes.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and effectively prioritize tasks.
Licenses/Certificates:
Behavior Assistance Certificate is a plus
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

$26 per hour
