The Opportunity

ISMG’s events also provide vendors with an effective method to raise brand exposure and awareness, and drive lead generation through sponsorship opportunities. Critical to the success of these sponsorships is having full attendance of quality guests! That said, we are looking for an Inbound Marketing Manager to align with our Events department and drive increased attendance by developing and implementing inbound marketing strategies and campaigns targeting the cybersecurity professional industry.

In this role, you will focus on understanding the target audience of our global events and create content, tell stories, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns to appropriately position our brand and generate event attendees. Additionally, you’ll drive optimization efforts, analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing efforts for our global events, and make adjustments as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with and a strong understanding of inbound marketing strategies and digital channels such as SEO, blog posts, social media posts, email marketing, etc.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing inbound marketing strategies for ISMG global events that resonate with target audience segments and result in increased event attendee rates.
• Creating and managing digital campaigns such as email marketing (primary), social media, video, PPC/SEO, etc. to drive event registration.
• Utilizing nurture campaign tactics to reduce attendance attrition (registered vs. attended)
• Tailoring and packaging promotional content for effective and engaging delivery via email and other campaigns.
• Collaborating with graphic design team to oversee production of creative assets used for enhanced brand recognition/marketing.
• Analyzing event campaign results and optimizing accordingly to improve performance and drive desired results.
• Presenting comprehensive campaign reports and performance analysis to stakeholders, showcasing key metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, and ROI.
• Enabling Event Sales teams to effectively position and close event sponsorships by aligning on audience engagement efforts, providing event briefs, and consistently transferring valuable knowledge.
• Providing training and support to team members on inbound marketing best practices and tools as needed.

What you’ll bring for success

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in marketing, events, public relations, communications, or other related fields
• 3-5+ years of experience in inbound marketing, Event Marketing, or a related field
• Experience deploying and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns from start to finish
• Technical proficiency with related digital marketing tools such as CRM, automation software, database, etc.
  • Coding/HTML skills is a plus 
• Good understanding of digital marketing strategies such as SEO/key word search, email, social, programmatic, video, etc.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with experience aligning creative content and copy across various channels
• Knowledge of website analytics tools and experience analyzing data
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• A desire to learn and grow within the marketing, events, and/or cybersecurity fields
