Embark on an exciting career journey as our Affluent Events Manager, where you will strategize and execute high-profile events for our affluent clients. You will operate in a highly matrixed organization and collaborate across functions to develop and deliver innovative client experiences.
As an Affluent Events Manager you will be tasked with the development and implementation of event strategies for our affluent clientele. Your role will be to conceptualize events ideas that align with our objectives and ensure flawless execution for an unforgettable experience. Collaborating with various partners, including external agencies, brand, legal, Public Relations, and social teams, will be integral to bringing your vision to fruition and providing a comprehensive event experience.
Job responsibilities:
- Serve as a direct manager to lead JPMA event execution; manage end to end events taking place in key markets
- Deliver both thought leadership and experiential high-end events for our affluent client base (JPMA)
- Work closely with the regional teams to oversee and execute flawless events
- Create framework and allocation model for Sports & Entertainment inventory; work with team to deliver ticketing and experiences in a seamless way
- Create pre and post event briefs for before and after each event
- Manage vendor teams to execute event experiences and work closely with the Brand Management team to developing client invitations and event materials and ensure they are used appropriately by the field
- Collaborate with communications teams to execute detailed communication plans designed to communicate and promote events
- Work with field representatives to ensure the appropriate clients and prospects are invited to events, and ensure client invites and attendees are tracked
- Work with analytics teams to track events and communicate success metrics on a regular basis
- Maintain, communicate and track event successes on a daily basis
- Oversee all associated event operations: third party oversight, compliance, budget management, approvals, accounts payable, contracts, etc.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 8+ years prior experience in event planning, including vendor contract negotiations and processes and BA degree. College degree in communication, journalism or marketing
- Understand the needs and expectations of an affluent client
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience planning and executing large-scale and smaller-scale events that are brand-relevant and very high quality
- A passion for detail and an ability to think creatively is critical
- Takes ownership, exercises strong judgment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure the needs of the group are met.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Discretion around private client information a must
- Able to think and react quickly during event execution and able to work fluidly when overseeing events
- Willingness to work in fast-paced environment and beyond traditional business hours when necessary. Ability to travel (10-20%)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint; design background or use of design systems
