Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with legal research, drafting, and reviewing legal documents such as motions and briefs.
- File and organize legal documents using document management systems.
- Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, photocopying, and scanning.
- Maintain and update case files and databases.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings.
- Answer phone calls and take messages with proper phone etiquette.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading.
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
