Overview:
The Human Resources Senior Compensation Specialist shall aid in the assessment of the effectiveness and impact of our financial reward programs, including the efficiency of our processes and program delivery. Our compensation programs are a key component to our ability to attract and retain high performing talent.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of broad-based compensation administration, including base salary, commissions, and incentive structures.
- Maintain and manage an accurate and up to date job description data base, new job evaluations and market survey materials and participation.
- Perform job matching against standard benchmarks, analyze and evaluate job pricing market data based on external and internal equity matters, monitor business conditions and legal requirements including FLSA designations, and promote industry best practices to ensure continued internal equity and external competitiveness of compensation.
- Seek opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of the company’s compensation programs. Recommend new strategies which attract and retain current and prospective employees, development of retention tools as appropriate.
- Conduct research and analysis, identify design alternatives, and model cost implications for proposed compensation changes.
- Lead Human Resources participation in the development, implementation and administration of incentive programs including validating data, processes, documentation, and systems.
- Assist in the overall management of the Company’s equity plan awards.
- Develop, update and maintain all compensation policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Provide oversight and guidance over the payroll function to ensure accuracy of information and timely payouts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment-related federal and state statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing offers for internal transfers and recommendations of salaries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred
- CCP certification is preferred.
- Highly developed consultative skills to assist in problem solving and the development of creative solutions within the construct of our compensation philosophy.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive related experience in broad-based compensation design and management
- Strong technology focus with orientation to automate processes wherever possible.
- Excellent business acumen, strong strategic planning, financial, numerical, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to create, implement, market, measure and evaluate compensation strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated history of working as a team member in a cross functional business environment and the ability to form relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and project management skills are a must.
- Advanced MS Excel experience (pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas)
- Ability to manage deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Must be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments
- Certified Compensation Professional (Preferred)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
