Specific expectations will include:
  • Technical and budgetary scoping for proposals and pursuits in sewer system evaluations and infiltration and inflow studies
  • Leading technical efforts for field and office-based needs related to sewer system evaluations and infiltration and inflow studies. This may involve leading the efforts leveraging direct Kleinfelder personnel and/or sub consulting professionals.  As required, provide oversight of the field services in the field
  • Supervising staff, and subcontractors to successfully deliver technical projects and build/mentor staff in the group;
  • Responsibility for developing and maintaining health and safety protocols for field based data collection services.
  • Maintain field equipment, tools and if necessary, vehicles that Kleinfelder owns related to performing field-based services
  • Perform and/or supervise construction inspection related to sewer systems.
  • As needed, serve as a project manager responsible for the project performance around sewer system evaluation projects and task orders
  • Drive innovation and advance technical excellence in the field of hydraulic infrastructure evaluation

Requirements

  • Experience operating CCTV equipment, pole cameras and other sewer investigative tools such as smoke and dye testing equipment.
  • Experience with temporary flow measurement of sewers (sanitary, storm and/or combined).  Installation and maintenance of flow metering equipment, experience with direct temporary flow measurement using weirs and flumes.
  • Experience with geospatial platforms especially ESRI ArcGIS/ArcGISPro.
  • Experience with MS-Office applications, Rainfall Derived Infiltration and Inflow (RDII software packages and analysis) and NASSCO PACP and MACP Software tools.  Ideal candidate will have formalized training and experience in work zone safety.
  • Experience with construction cost estimation and proposal preparation
  • Experience with the development and writing of technical reports and technical specifications.
  • Experience with the development and maintenance of Health and Safety plans for sewer system evaluations including OSHA Confined Space Training (permit required).
  • Experience with Deltek systems for CRM and project management
  • Must have a strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills. Solid written and verbal fluency in English.
  • 15 years or more experience with sewer system evaluation studies and projects including raw flow data qa/qc, flow data analysis and interpretation and RDII analysis and calculations
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in such a manner.
