Summer 2024 Internship Snapshot

The Opportunity at Hand
The Human Resources Intern will work collaboratively with all functions within the HR department, they will develop an understanding of each core competency and how they correlate to each other & how they support New Era's Strategic initiative. In addition, the HR intern will be responsible for the execution of their own project that aligns with the current needs of the organization & can be completed over the course of the internship program.
Projects & Tasks
- Provide project and process coordination across a wide variety of HR programs and activities
- Generate ad-hoc reports and dashboard analytics, you'll understand and reconcile gaps, overlaps, and apparent contradictions within data, reports and reporting tools
- Update materials to capture position and org changes
- Create presentable materials and drive business specific engagement strategies
- Provide support to HR and the business in support of employee lifecycle processes such as hiring, terminations, movement, job changes, total rewards, & engagement activities.
What you will need to make an impact
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work and manage multiple projects independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook
- Self-starter, motivated, ability to work independently
- Embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistence
- Takes initiative and is solution oriented
- Follows through on projects/requests until there is resolution
- Builds positive working relationships with internal colleagues
Education and Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors program within Human Resource Management, or a related field.

The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
