Human Resources Intern

Gilbane is one of the largest family-owned Construction Management firms in the country, and we are looking for a Human Resources Intern for the summer of 2024. This is a full time, paid opportunity that will give you hands-on experience in various aspects of Human Resources. You will also have the flexibility to work from our Headquarters in Providence, RI or one of our major offices in Arlington, VA ; Richmond, VA; or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

As an HR Intern, you will be part of our People First Strategy, which means you will work on exciting projects that align with your interests and goals. You will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with our internal Human Resources teams in areas such as:

• Recruiting talented and diverse candidates
• Creating a positive and engaging employee experience
• Developing and managing learning and talent programs
• Analyzing and optimizing compensation and benefits plans
• Using data and analytics to drive people decisions

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or similar degree
• Prior internship experience within the field of study is preferred 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong verbal/written communication kills
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Attention to detail and prioritization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.  

 

For Massachusetts the pay ranges from $21 - $23 per hour. For Rhode Island the pay ranges from $20 - $22 per hour.
