We opened our doors in 1987 as a small, local manufacturer and have grown tremendously with offices in the Boise, ID, USA area and multiple international sales as service locations. The AERO Specialties Parts Sales Rep/Expeditor will be responsible for sales activities relative to the company's aircraft ground support equipment parts business as well as working with the manufacturing team to expedite OEM parts. It is expected that this position will spend 50% of time selling parts and 50% working with company manufacturing to expedite order's and communicating status to customers. Responsibility for the continued development of parts sales programs, and work with company marketing initiatives.
The primary emphasis for this position is to open and expand markets to achieve sales growth targets including new customer accounts while continuing to maintain existing accounts and customers.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge on the aviation industry including products, technologies, customers, and competitors.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations, understand and resolve customer emergencies, and balance the customer needs with AERO factory/engineering and Distributed suppliers' needs.
  • Fulfill yearly targets as defined by AERO's management, in terms of market share, pricing, margin, lead time and payment conditions.
  • Adhere to AERO's pricing policies, general terms & conditions of sales, and strictly follow AERO's sales and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with current customers and systematically explore new customers and new markets.
  • Handle crisis situations and ensure smooth customer support by coordinating the necessary technical solutions, spare parts, or service technicians.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in spare parts and product support with a customer first focus.
  • Work directly with Purchasing/Sourcing departments to determine proper seasonal spare parts inventory levels while minimizing slow moving/obsolete/excess inventory.
  • Work directly with customers to develop customized parts support programs.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, open and honest communication, work with integrity and treat everyone with respect.

Requirements
What qualifies someone for this position?
  • A very good working knowledge of the aerospace industry is required
  • At least three years of technical/sales experience. Experience with GSE/heavy equipment service parts area would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of airframe and engine components with emphasis in the aviation environment
  • Must have a high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Good telephone and communication skills
  • Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office software
