The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Intern works closely with the HRIS team to help
support HR system administration, works with employee data to support strategic decision-making, and
helps to optimize business processes and procedures. Working alongside HR team members and other
key stakeholders, the HRIS Intern helps enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of various HR
operations, with a focus on creating data driven insights and enabling process automation.
This position is full-time, operating Monday through Friday during core business hours, with a total
expected engagement of 10-12 weeks.
- Data Management: Provide support in data entry, validation, auditing, and general data
management, ensuring both accuracy and completeness. Assist with creation and management of
data reference tools (e.g., data dictionary, audit calendar). - Technical Support: Aid in troubleshooting technical issues and help provide timely resolutions to
various stakeholders across the organization. - Process Documentation and Improvement: Assist with the development and documentation of
HRIS processes and procedures, creating both internal and end user resources such as job aids and
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Work with HR team and other stakeholders to brainstorm
and propose process improvements, assisting the implementation of suggested changes. - Data Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with HR team and other stakeholders to analyze data and
generate reports to support strategic decision-making. - System Administration and Review: Assist HRIS administrator with system configuration, user
management, and general maintenance of HR platforms (e.g., Paycom, iCIMS, Qualtrics). Support
the HR system review and discovery process by taking meeting notes, compiling departmental
feedback, and gathering necessary documentation to be shared with relevant stakeholders. - Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Information
Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Familiarity with
Microsoft Forms, Visio, or Power Automate a plus. - 1+ years' experience in data management, including data entry, validation, auditing and/or 1+ years’
experience in reporting and analytics preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication with ability to develop and maintain positive professional
relationships with internal and external parties. - Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task while maintaining accuracy and focusing on attention to
detail in a professional and efficient manner. - Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced
environment. - Familiarity with HR systems preferred but not required.
- Frequent keyboarding.
