DineAmic Hospitality is seeking a Human Resources Intern who will learn about the recruitment process and assist with screening and shortlisting hourly employees for open hourly positions across the company. The ideal candidate has experience working in a restaurant or hotel and/or completed relevant coursework. This is a great opportunity to take a deep dive into this aspect of the HR field and the fast-paced world of sophisticated full-service restaurants. Interns work in-person at our office in River North and should expected to commit to 15-20 hours a week for at least 10 weeks. This is a paid, part-time temporary position with potential for advancement.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with posting open positions on company career pages, job boards, and other platforms; Continuously monitor postings, adjusting as necessary to attract talent
- Review resumes and screen out applicants; Schedule and conduct phone screens; Disposition candidates who have been passed on
- Short-list candidates for Hiring Managers and schedule on-site interviews
- Conduct employment verifications and reference checks
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, mailing, scanning, and/or emailing documents
- Special projects and other duties within the scope of the role
REQUIREMENTS
- College courses relevant to Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
- Hospitality Experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
- Dependable and responsible with a strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced, changing priorities, and ability to balancing multiple projects simultaneously
