The Human Resources Generalist will assist in running the daily functions of the HR department including employee support, recruitment, onboarding, compliance and policy adherence.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Recruiting including job posting, phone screens, scheduling interviews, requesting background and drug screens and extending offers.
- Onboarding and conducting new hire orientations.
- Establish relationships with community outreach programs and represent organization at job fairs.
- Monitor staffing needs by working closely with managers.
- Serve as a resource for company policies and procedures.
- Establish electronic employee files and maintain employee picture board.
- Update HR SharePoint files.
- Coordinate with employees and safety committee on workers compensation claims and FMLA issues.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding employment policies, procedures and benefits information.
- Assist with company functions and employee wellness events.
- Serve as backup for bi-weekly Payroll preparation through Paycom.
- Support Human Resources Manager as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management and employment law.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and data protection regulations.
- Confidence and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Prior HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- College degree and/or SHRM certified preferred.
