The RentalMax Human Resources Team is growing and we are looking to add an HR Generalist to our team. We are looking for someone with expertise in problem-solving, and analysis, who enjoys building relationships, providing the best resources, and developing strategies to meet the needs of the whole organization. As the HR Generalist, you will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including Payroll & Benefits Administration, Leave Management, Employee Lifecycle Process Administration, Workforce Development Program Administration and Employee Engagement & Recognition. Technical Skills:

  • Payroll & Benefits Administration
    • Process payroll (bi-weekly) and special pays.
    • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.
    • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), wellness benefits and COBRA.
    • Facilitate annual benefits enrollment and assist employees with benefit related questions and claims.
    • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
    • Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Support the annual 401k audit process.
    • Manage HR vendor invoices, including submission and review for processing upon approval.
    • Assist HR Manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Leave Management
    • Manage workers' compensation injury claims. File reports with insurance provider, maintain accident information and monitor progress.
    • Manage FMLA and personal leave requests. Create, file and track leave allotment.
    • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Employee Lifecycle Process Administration
    • Maintain the HRIS and verify all appropriate documentation is collected throughout the employee lifecycle from recruitment to termination.
    • Administer the full lifecycle of the recruitment process, from job postings through the applicants' first day of employment.
    • Support hiring managers through the recruitment process by monitoring the overall applicant tracking system and applicant selection.
    • Provide resources and training to hiring managers on interview process, as needed.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for candidates during the formal offer and prescreening process. This includes coordination of start date and onboarding schedule with Hiring Manager and Training Specialist.
    • Facilitate and participate in recruitment events.
    • Demonstrate proficient knowledge and understanding of Employee Handbook and other HR related policies.
    • Monitor performance management process and work with management to ensure expectations are met.
    • Guide and support managers in adhering to the progressive discipline policy.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Recommend revisions to HR policies and ensuring that fair employment practices are implemented.
    • Provide reports and manage metrics supporting the employee lifecycle.
    • Collaborate and support the employee related incident process with the Safety Specialist.
    • Assist with processing of terminations.
  • Workforce Development Program Management
    • Serve as spokesperson and primary contact for development program enrollment.
    • Manage the employee eligibility for entry into programs.
    • Coordinate with candidates' manager and training specialist upon program acceptance.
    • Monitor the overall documentation and tracking of all active program candidates working with program leads.
  • Employee Engagement & Recognition
    • Facilitate and manage the employee engagement survey process. This includes creation and distribution of survey, monitoring completion, evaluation of and reporting on results, and improvement recommendations to management.
    • Work with HR Manager to develop, implement and facilitate the ongoing management of employee recognition and appreciation programs.
  • Special projects as assigned.
