Human Resources Generalist Career Opportunity

C5T seeks a Human Resources generalist to join our team and manage various Human Resources programs and help C5T remain a leading small business. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Services. The position requires working closely with senior leadership in a team environment but does not have any direct reports. This position includes a wide range of HR tasks, new hire orientation, administering employee benefits and leaves, and crafting HR policies. This role will act as the main point of contract for employees' queries on HR related topics and will utilize ADP and Employee Navigator Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. The position offers some remote flexibility, but the selected candidate must be able to work on-site at the C5T Corporation office located near Scott AFB, IL.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure C5T mission and values are integrated with the company culture.
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
  • Respond to Human Resources-related inquiries.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
  • Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
  • Develop and maintain learning management processes.
  • Participate in morale and company event planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with the corporate services team to develop effective strategies.
  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist, as needed, in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain employee personnel records.
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship/Work Eligibility: This position requires a candidate who is either a current US Citizen or has appropriate paperwork to show eligibility for full-time work in the US.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Human Resources field
  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Required Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years professional Human Resource related experience
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems and HR tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Social media tools

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration, or a related field
  • PHR certification
  • Project Management
  • Knowledge Management
  • SharePoint
