As the Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will provide human resource guidance to assigned business groups, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, diversity, conflict resolution, training, and process coordination with the Human Resources COEs (i.e., benefits, talent acquisition, payroll). You will consult with management on strategic and operational HR and business issues.
Responsibilities:
- Counsels managers and supervisors regarding employee relations and labor management issues (if supporting union location) and recommends actions consistent with policy and collective bargaining agreements if applicable; conducts investigations, partnering with legal as needed
- Counsels and advises management and employees on problem resolution, supervisory discretion and policy interpretation
- Advises and assists managers to ensure consistent application and compliance with HR programs, policies and initiatives
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Assists in development of project plans and executes plans to enhance staff development, engagement and retention
- Analyzes trends and metrics, assisting business group to execute on actions plans to close organizational gaps in areas of employee satisfaction, organizational development and effectiveness, training and diversity
- Provides support on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Assists with issue resolution, performance plans, corrective actions, terminations, union negotiations, recognition, exit interviews, succession planning, FLSA, FMLA, and other Human Resources policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources, Business or related field
- Licenses/Certificates/Designations - Human Resources Designation (i.e. SHRM, PHR, SPHR etc.) preferred
- 4 years progressive HR representative experience in industry with large scale, dynamic change initiatives
- Multi-unit/state experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel. PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exceptionally well-organized, detail oriented
- Union experience preferred
- Employment law knowledge with multi-state compliance preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines and competing priorities preferred
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality preferred
