Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist position will provide support to the market focusing on payroll, benefits, data entry, maintaining employee files and departmental records/logs, and onboarding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll
- Process payroll for 5 locations, reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system, entering payroll items such as bonus, tips, garnishments, direct deposit, etc..
- Respond to unemployment claims
- Process all benefit and 401k deductions.
- Monitor employees on leave to make sure correct deductions are being done.
- Process employment verifications.
Benefits:
- First line of response in regarding routine and non-routine issues such as claim problems, enrollment, lost ID Cards, eligibility status change, etc..
- Oversee annual compliance activities such as ACA reporting, 401k. and 5500 filings.
- Review and submit monthly benefit invoices, verifying eligible participants and terminations have been accounted for.
- Interact with Florida Blue, Humana, and Colonial to proactively identify issues and work to resolve the issues quickly and accurately.
Onboarding:
- Work with the Recruiter to ensure all new hires are onboarded correctly and smoothly.
- Verify I-9
- Set up new hires in ADP
- Reporting:
- Miscellaneous Reporting (labor, productivity, turnover, EE01, Census, W2’s, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of ADP experience
- 1-2 years payroll and benefit experience
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish)
- Manage, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks/projects in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
