About the role

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will work directly with Human Resources and accounting and finance to ensure that all Human Resources processes and payroll functions for the organization are carried out in a timely manner to ensure compliance. This role plays a key role in the organization"s Human Capital Management strategy by supporting the Human Resources functions, including but not limited to recruiting, on-boarding, benefits strategies, payroll, and record keeping.

What you"ll do

  • Assist with the implementation and administration of HR programs and policies
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems
  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans
  • Assist with workforce management activities, including scheduling and timekeeping
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Assist with processing payroll, including entering timecards, calculating wages and salaries, and applying deductions and taxes
  • Verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and issue paychecks and direct deposits
  • Make necessary adjustments to payroll records for new hires, terminations, and other changes
  • Generate and reconcile payroll reports
  • Assist with preparing and filing payroll taxes
  • Maintain confidential employee payroll information
  • Respond to employee inquiries about payroll
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor"s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in HR and payroll coordination or related role required
  • Strong knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
  • Experience with benefits administration and HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
