Job Description
Our Human Resources Coordinator will be a highly motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and desire to help. This individual will play a supportive role in the department’s working closely with the HR Director, HR Manager and Safety and Security Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Support HR team in educating employees on company policies and practices
- Assist in the hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS
- Help with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons
- Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information as needed
- Assist in benefits administration including health care, retirement, 401k, etc.
- Process employee terminations
- Maintain and ensure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential
- Under the direction of the HR director, be a vital source of Human Resources information, answering any questions employees may have ensuring accuracy of information and timely responses
- Provide exceptional customer service to all employees
- Support any other special projects the HR director needs assistance with
- Assist with new and updated health enrollment as requested by employees as needed.
- Assist with open enrollment, process employee enrollment changes, and vendor invoice reconciliation.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of HR experience preferred including basic understanding of employment law at the local, state and federal levels
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Certifications preferred (PHR or SHRM-CP)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience using HR software and HRIS databases (iSolved, Greenhouse, BambooHR preferred)
- Excellent speaking and listening skills to share information effectively, while paying careful attention to concerns and questions from employees and job applicants.
