Job Description:
Family Access Center is hiring a full time Training Coordinator/Human Resources Assistant in Western Iowa. Providing leadership and guidance to all areas of the company to advance the organization's mission and objective.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, Human Services or related area preferred; associate degree Required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Implement, Train, and/or Coordinate, New Hire, Annual, and Ongoing Training Programs that meet regulatory standards for COA, IDPH, Chapter 24 and Child Welfare Contracts.
- Coordinate/Schedule/Track/Provide fundamental and annual training to FAC employees and propose/develop/coordinate additional training ideas based on new and existing employee needs.
- Work closely with HR staff to coordinate training for individual departments.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of training topics or technologies and company policies.
- May also be responsible for teaching one or more training courses or recruiting trainers to perform specific duties.
- Train and consult with trainees regarding evidenced based practices. Assist HR Manager in employee engagement and retention strategies and programs.
- Exemplify and adhere to the organizational values of respect, integrity, service, and empowerment.
- Practice or develop knowledge about principles, theories, and practices of transformational leadership.
- Promote the team concept and collaboration throughout the organization and in relationships with community partners and referral sources.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other programs and departments within FAC and promote professional collaboration within FCS team, i.e., quality assurance, program supervisors, human resources, information technology, Executive Director, and ownership.
- Support current organizational initiatives and exhibit creativity and flexibility in times of change.
- Lead, participate, and ensure delivery of evidence-based practices across the continuum to include, but not limited to Solution-Based Casework®, Safe Care®, motivational interviewing/family preservation, Child Safety Conferences, and SFM/YTDM.
- Mentor staff by providing clear and honest feedback on job performance and professional development.
- Understand and practice/implement FAC policy and practices.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and essential functions requirements:
- Knowledgeable about the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Public Law 104-19, and follows these processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the management of public relations for FAC through positive, professional relationship development with employees, clients, and community partners.
- Create training schedules for all company departments, track and create reports on all training outcomes, and maintain training records for the company.
- Train new hires in company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
- Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
- Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress.
- Recommend training materials and methods, training equipment and supplies.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date training for multiple programs and positions ensuring EBP training meets fidelity of the model.
- Deliver training and consultation.
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of site-based training systems and facilitates the training of professional instructors, program supervisors, administrative leaders, and other employees.
- Produces and presents training programs, workshops, or projects leveraging technology to deliver blended or distance-based training.
- Conducts employee follow-up sessions at specific intervals throughout employment, including 90-day performance evaluation.
- Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
