Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources the Human Resources Business Partnerserves the business by providing guidance, resolving employee relation challenges, and working with leaders to improve work relationships and productivity. The Human Resources Business Partner will also support the learning and development functions at both the Support and Distribution Centers.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with leadership and managerial teams to improve the effectiveness and performance of both individuals and teams.
  • Assist in building and executing workforce and leadership succession plans including an overview and assessment of current talent.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people-related challenges.
  • Approach challenging situations with a solution-oriented mindset, always seeking ways to develop solutions through organizational development and process-oriented awareness and perspectives.
  • Provide performance management guidance to different levels of leaders throughout the organization, including but not limited to coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collect, analyze, and articulate business requirements and challenges, and translate them into executable Human Resources initiatives.
  • Collaborate with all cross-functional Human Resources partners to deliver effective solutions aligned with the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Function as a trusted advisor to leaders and associates to develop relevant career development pathways.
  • Assist in conflict resolution, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
  • Lead the performance management and talent review process throughout the organization, including the identification of high-performing leaders to ensure development plans are in place and executed.
  • Drive key Human Resources programs by partnering with leadership to assess and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Lead development strategies and effective learning programs (including the design and development of appropriate training programs and activities.)
  • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the organization's strengths and opportunities as they apply to all components of the business.
  • Responsible for the oversight and development of one direct report.  

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources functions, operating at a Human Resources Business Partner or comparable role required. 
  • 3+ years' experience as a Human Resources Generalist required.
  • 3+ years' experience of strategic knowledge and experience designing, developing, and facilitating in-person and virtual learning experiences in a business setting.
  • 2+ years' supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting different business models (Field and both the Support and Distribution Centers.)
  • Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and training approaches.
  • Technical aptitude/experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) or relatable online development tools.
  • Well-versed in state and federal employment regulations.
  • Retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Human Resources Certifications preferred.
