Overview
Are you up for challenges? CAES is looking for a Team Player to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at the Lancaster facility. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and being able to adapt to a rapidly changing production environment brings with it an exciting opportunity to influence the successful execution of production goals and achieving operational excellence.
As the HR Generalist/Business Partner, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the business and employees in HR related initiatives within our facility in Lancaster, PA. Additional support within Mission Systems may be required.
Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Work with the Corporate Talent Acquisition team to coordinate interviews, follow-up with managers, prepare interview packets and assist in the interview process from beginning of recruitment through preparation of offer letters
Onboarding
- Work with new employees through onboarding process including scheduling onboarding activities and meetings, ensuring paperwork is complete and all necessary information is entered into the Work with managers to ensure new hire trainings are scheduled and the onboarding process is smooth and productive
Termination
- Prepare termination paperwork; work with managers to ensure adequate termination information is prepared. Assist with termination meetings and off-boarding activities
Engagement
- Assist in preparation of engagement survey, analyzing results, and preparing communication of results Coordinate employee engagement activities including lunches, activities, and communication meetings Assist with performance review process including coordination of development plans and performance improvement plans
Analytics
- Generate reports and assist in analyzing the data to prepare communications for leadership and employee population
Training and Development
- Prepare various trainings for employees which may include training of new processes, open enrollment training, and assistance with leadership training
Employee Relations
- Assist with employee relations issues and investigations; be available for employee discussions when needed and prepare documentation from discussions
Performance Expectations
- Requires onsite physical presence to support and partnership with Manufacturing leaders and employees across our plants or specific plants; respond to potential stressful situations or emergent expressions of emotions in the workplace, could involve employee illness/injury; conflicts in the workplace, etc. (with or without notice or warning)
- Must be able to respond to urgent security concerns and/or threats that can arise on the premises immediately
- Meet/greet and check-in in our secure environment - interview candidates in the lobby and escort to conference rooms
- Conduct onsite investigation as needed
- Must be able to physically meet with Manufacturing employees who are unable to engage in Teams or phone to address concerns (private issues cannot be discussed or addressed through current kiosks. Manufacturing employees do not have access to work phones in private areas).
- Managing and participating in employee events onsite, ie setting-up, distribution, packaging, coordinating, serving and clean-up
- HR knowledge and willingness to stay current on HR legal and compliance issues
- Ability to balance needs of the business with desires of the employees
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) required
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to handle confidential and proprietary employee information
- Desire to grow with company and take on additional challenges and projects as they become available
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BS or BA degree typically required in a related field of study.
- 2+ years work experience in the specialized field of Human Resources.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or MA degree in a related field of study and 1+ years experience in Human Resources
- Manufacturing environment experience
