EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four year college or university degree; 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR designation preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides support to employees and managers and addresses questions and concerns regarding workplace policies and practices to resolve issues and address legal matters. Provides guidance and direction as needed to ensure positive employee relations for all locations (including remote personnel).
- Provides coaching and support to managers on a regular and proactive basis in response to existing and potential personnel needs. This includes identifying and offering appropriate training as necessary--either internal or external solutions.
- Reports on employee concerns and issues affecting morale/engagement Participates in strategies to develop and foster high employee morale and engagement levels. Works with managers to create action plans for annual employee engagement summary responses.
- Conducts workplace investigations in response to allegations of harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, etc. Offers effective resolution options upon completion.
- Handles separation process, including organization communication regarding departing employees. Conducts exit interviews and provides a summary to managers as needed.
- Creates and implements effective retention strategies to reduce staff turnover.
- Attends functional meetings with customer group managers as appropriate. Partners with group management to provide effective HR solutions for identified needs.
- Takes a lead role in the company’s annual Open Enrollment process. Organize and deliver benefit information sessions.
- Administers the Sales bonus compensation plan and associated communications.
- Creates and disseminates internal reporting as needed.
- Other duties (and projects) as assigned.
