What's the role?
As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC. Show case your skills and experience by process enhancements in a pivotal role in supporting and guiding our diverse functional teams, with a particular focus on the field service organization. Reporting directly to the Head (VP) of Human Resources, IQR, you will contribute to the success and growth of ZEISS in North America.

Here's what you'll do:
Employee Relations and Counseling:
- Acts as a role model for the ZEISS brand and values.
- Provides information, policy interpretation, and support to employees and managers.
- Resolves conflicts and investigates formal employee complaints.
- Conducts termination interviews ensuring legal compliance and fairness.
Compliance and Legal Expertise:
- Serves as the local expert on employment law topics, ensuring ZEISS compliance.
- Advises on legal matters related to employment status, benefits, leaves, etc.
- Conducts and reports on exit interviews.
Employee Morale and Development:
- Supports the resolution of employee relations topics, fosters enthusiasm, and promotes team-building activities.
- Supports people development, talent identification, and succession planning.
Collaboration and Training:
- Works collaboratively with the NA HR Team to develop HR program goals.
- Coaches and supports managers, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Provides HR training to managers and employees, including learning platforms.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Uses data and HR analytics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Ensures data accuracy in the HR system (Workday) and facilitates reporting.
Employee Life Cycle Management:
- Executes actions related to the employee life cycle, including hiring, termination, promotion, etc.
- Plans and conducts new employee onboarding to ensure assimilation and productivity.
HR Processes and Special Projects:
- Creates and maintains reports, tracks KPIs, and analyzes trends.
- Supports managers in preparing job descriptions and contributes to an effective compensation structure.
- Researches and develops opportunities to improve HR processes.
- Collaborates with recruiting network and hiring managers to evaluate talent.
Special Projects:
- Participates in special projects, initiatives, and other duties as needed, including global and NA projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Do you qualify?
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field needed. Master's Degree or HR certifications helpful.
- Minimum of 8 years of increasingly responsible experience within a competitive human resource setting with demonstrated experience as a broad-based HR Business Partner or comparable role.
- Must have excellent people skills, collaborative and consequent in dealings. Should be open and receptive to coworkers at all levels, always showing care and interest in interactions.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal aspects of employment. Experience in M&A activities and PMI a plus.
- Organizational development skills, such as coaching, influencing facilitation, process, development, and organizational structure design.
- Strong project management skills - must be able to manage multiple assignments, projects/priorities.
- Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills with ability to work well with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment. Experience working in a production, engineering, sales, and service organization highly desired.
- Must be self- motivated and self-assured with the ability to work productively in a dynamic environment and shifting priorities.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
- Experience with Workday HRIS and SharePoint.
