PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the direction of the CFO, is responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing and managing employee benefit programs. Assures the accuracy and completeness of all personnel files for the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Processes new hires for all locations.
Functions as Administrator for Time Clock System.
Gathers information from all locations, combines and uploads it to the payroll processor for bi-weekly payroll processing.
Tracks and reports vacation and benefit accruals for all employees.
Communicate Employee Benefits to new hires and existing employees.
Functions as an Employee Liaison to Employee Benefit Providers.
Reconcile Benefit premium payroll deductions with General Ledger.
Develops and monitors procedures for workmen's compensation reporting.
Prepares correspondence for layoffs and COBRA reporting.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a college degree in Business Administration experience in Human Resource administration or equivalent to demonstrate HR knowledge.
Understanding and experience with payroll processing, personnel files, etc. and the ability to develop processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proven computer and "attention to detail" skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, in a team-oriented environment, and get work done through others.
Proven professional communication, customer service, and persuasion skills.
Demonstrated organization, planning, and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and deal with deadlines.
Demonstrated core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
