To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves technical skill and the use of automated systems to update military personnel records for Cadets; perform personnel functions and provide services in support of military Cadre personnel actions to include, maintaining travel and lodging arrangements, government travel, certification of travel and pay documents; prepare processing evaluations, awards, in-processing/out-processing, leave, leave log, and promotions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below and is directly related to the position being filled:
One and a half years of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-08. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. (Transcripts must be attached).
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Transcripts must be attached)
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
