We are also proud to own and operate Pirate Water Taxi, the Lost Pearl pirate ship, the Bay Rocket speedboat, Tampa Riverwalk Rentals and Craft, a European style riverboat, all located on the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa.
As our company is rapidly growing and expanding we are looking for someone who can assist the Human Resources Manager with multiple daily tasks to ensure a smooth working environment for our 250 employees.
Position will be fun, interesting and rewarding. Looking for a long-time partner that we can work closely with for many years. Job description
Position assists with the administrative duties for the Human Resources Department and performs a variety of daily tasks. Most duties require a high level of confidentially.
Human Resources:
● Primary responsibility is to onboard new hires.
● Ensure that all required new hire documents are completed and signed.
● Ensure that proper identification is obtained for I-9 completion.
● Register safety sensitive employees for new hire drug tests.
● Ensure that MMC documentation is received for all captains.
● Obtain Drug and Alcohol Testing History for all captains.
● Enter new hire into HRIS.
● Ensure that all forms and documents are uploaded into HRIS.
● Enter new hire data into time keeping system.
● Issue parking passes for Tampa and parking permits for Clearwater.
● Uniform management.
● Management of resumes and job postings on Indeed.
● Second primary responsibility is payroll processing for each company.
● Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
● Assist with answering phones when needed
● Perform other activities necessary to support Human Resources.
● Work and communicate well with others.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Applicants best suited for this position must exhibit integrity and ability to handle information with the utmost confidentiality, in regards to Human Resources matters and dealing with our customer and vendor clientele.
● Ability to format templates and standardize forms easily in Microsoft Word/Excel.
● Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions and gratuities.
● A proficiency and knowledge in the use of basic office equipment including but not limited to copy machines, calculators, postal machines, etc.
● Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and heavy knowledge of Excel.
● Proficient in data entry and time management.
● Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines effectively and multi-task.
● Must be good at organizing - in the literal sense as well as virtual data.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quickly.
● Must be a clear and effective communicator.
