Performs general office support and HR activities: sorts and distributes faxes, maintains copy machine, creates /maintains up-to-date electronic HR files, updates information bulletin board. Greets customers, provides forms and information and/or directs to appropriate staff member in the office. Provides HR and or payroll documentation to employees for name changes, address changes, W-2, paycheck stubs along with ensuring corrections are completed in the PeopleSoft system. Answers multi-line telephone system and resolves customer telephone calls by providing accurate and timely information on a variety of H related subjects with emphasis on, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Classification & Compensation, and other HR related functions.
Serves as backup for new hire/transfers/promotional paperwork, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Leave and UF Engaged for the (BA) HR office. Also creates and maintains spreadsheets for various tracking purposes such as Kronos and time and attendance. Assists job applicants by troubleshooting problems with job applications such as being disqualified and inability to attach documents. Assists internal and external applicants by troubleshooting technical difficulties, resetting passwords, verifying applicant statuses and walk-in applicants through the application process.
Provides administrative support to the BA HR, Associate Director by coordinating meetings, assisting with preparing documents, preparing and sorting files, and preparing mail.
Assists in entering Electronic Personnel Action Form (ePAF) actions for supervisor updates, and extended leave of absence (ELOA). Schedules and organizes Career Fairs dates and materials. Creates new-hire packets, and schedules open enrollment appointments, training presentations, and other BA HR events.
Cross-trains for all travel duties, including requests and reimbursement, as well as PCard reconciliations related to travel. Keeps inventory of office supplies and makes of list of items to be ordered along with placing order and verifying receipts. Works with Facilities Services Accounting on reconciling purchases.
Delivers and pickups mail at various areas across campus. Drives state vehicle.

Work hours 8:00am – 4:30pm; Monday – Friday; With a one-half (1/2) hour meal period.
Expected starting salary $18.00 - $20.00 hourly based on experience.
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures is preferred.
